Jackie Chan to Start Shanghai Action

Global acting royalty will visit the 6 Hours of Shanghai this weekend as Jackie Chan makes another visit to the FIA World Endurance Championship paddock.

This time Chan will have the honour of starting the 6 Hours of Shanghai, as he has been entrusted with the green flag to begin the race at 11.00 local time on Sunday.

The Hollywood megastar will not only be spending time supporting the team which he co-owns – Jackie Chan DC Racing, but will also be shining a light on the ever-expanding popularity of endurance racing in his homeland of China.

The action hero, who has starred in global hits such as Enter the Dragon and Shanghai Noon, has seen his team enjoy a stellar season in 2017.
A hat-trick of victories at Silverstone, Le Mans and Nurburgring has thrust the No.38 crew of Thomas Laurent, Ho-Pin Tung and Oliver Jarvis to the top of the LMP2 standings.

The unforgettable Le Mans result, which witnessed the No.38 car leading the race overall for several hours, was almost straight from one of Chan’s all-action fantasy scripts!

The great man will be guaranteed even more drama, passion and excitement as the 6 Hours of Shanghai gets ready for more unpredictable exhilaration.
