Rebellion Racing has revealed that its new-for-2018 LMP1 challenger will be built by French constructor ORECA, and will be powered by a Gibson engine. The Rebellion R13 will be shown for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.

The successful alliance between ORECA and Rebellion dates back to 2014, when the Swiss team ran the R-One in the LMP1 Private Teams category.
Entry for two cars in the WEC Super Season has been applied for, which will be entrusted to some well-known WEC faces who combine to form an impressively talented driver line up.

2017 LMP2 Driver Champion Bruno Senna (BR) and Rebellion regular Mathias Beche (CH) return to the team and will be joined by 2016 World Endurance Champion Neel Jani (CH) in one car.  In the other will be FIA WEC champion and Le Mans winner André Lotterer (DE) with talented young drivers Gustavo Menezes (US) and WEC 2017 Rookie of the year Thomas Laurent (FR).

Look out for the announcement of the full season entry list for the WEC on Friday afternoon at 15h00 CET.
