Tickets now on sale for the inaugural 6 Hours of Mexico

Tickets have now gone on sale for the fifth round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Mexico Presented by AT&T, offering fans an early opportunity to book a place for what is likely to be one of the most colourful races of the season.

The inaugural event, which will take place from 1-3 September at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, marks the return of top international endurance racing to the country.

Among the 30+ cars and star-studded roster of drivers who will be lighting up the Mexican track will be the eventual winners of the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours, and the current LMP2 class leaders – Ricardo Gonzalez, Bruno Senna and Filipe Albuquerque of Mexico’s own RGR Sport by Morand team.

The inclusion of the 6 Hours of Mexico in the 2016 FIA WEC calendar revives a long history of endurance racing in Mexico that dates back to the days of the Rodriguez brothers, Ricardo and Pedro.

Tickets to attend this great test of endurance can be purchased through Ticketmaster HERE and at the box office at Palacio de los Deportes.

Ticket prices are as follows:

·         South Forum Sol: $ 500 MXN (approx. €25)

·         North Forum Sol: $ 750 MXN (approx. €37)

Grandstand seats are also available, together with paddock suites.

Ricardo González, promoter of the WEC in Mexico, believes the Mexican event will show the world how passionate about motorsports its fans are, and demonstrate what a deep history the country has with endurance racing.  "I am very happy to work with the WEC and bring the spirit of Le Mans to Mexico. For this reason, we have made prices accessible to allow fans from all over the country to come along and enjoy this incredible experience.”
