Welcome to race day in Germany!

Expectant crowd to savour battle royal at Nürburgring as the fourth race day of the season arrives.

The fourth race day of the season has arrived, and with it comes huge anticipation for multiple contests throughout the full grid of FIA World Endurance Championship cars at the 6 Hours of Nürburgring today.

After a fascinating qualifying session yesterday, the expectancy is that another classic battle in the LMP1 category will play out today in what are likely to be mixed conditions. These will test the teams and the drivers to the maximum over the duration of the six hour race which will begin at 13.00 local time.

Porsche and Toyota are close in terms of race pace as the Weissach manufacturer showcases its new-look high downforce model for the first weekend.

In LMGTE Pro, any of the eight contestants could take the silverware as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford and Porsche push to the limit in order to try and open out a points advantage in the new-for-2017 GT FIA World Endurance Manufacturers Championship.

LMP2 sees similar levels of unpredictability as multiple teams fight tooth-and-nail to be top of the most competitive-ever field in the category.

LMGTE Am sees Ferrari, Aston Martin and Porsche fight it out with evenly matched pairings and another nail-biting encounter guaranteed.

As the crowds arrive at the circuit and get ready for the popular pit walk and autograph session, the latter being held in the paddock, the teams’ strategists and engineers will be working overtime to try and mastermind an advantage for round four of the 2017 WEC.
