صباح الخيرمن البحرين - Good Morning from Bahrain
صباح الخيرمن البحرين or Good Morning from Bahrain. It’s another beautiful day and there is a full day of on-track entertainment coming up.
At 11h10 there is the third and final free practice session for the FIA WEC for the seventh round of the championship – a race which will be full of tension and excitement as the title chases in several categories come to a head.
Qualifying follows later today, under the floodlights, with the LMGTE Pro and Am classes taking to the Bahrain International Circuit track at 17h00 (local) for a 25-minute session, followed by the LMP1 and LMP2 cars at 17h35 for a further 25 minutes.
Each of the two nominated drivers from each car must set at least two timed laps during qualifying. The average of the four best lap times (the best two of each driver) will serve as the reference time for establishing the grid. In Shanghai there was an exact tie to the thousandth of the second between Toyota Racing and Porsche Team at the top of the timesheets – will Bahrain be as close?
The MRF Championship and Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge will also be out on track today for qualifying and their first races and the action is sure to be hot!
Live timing is available via the FIA WEC’s website for all practice and qualifying sessions, and full timing, images, commentary and on-board cameras are available via the FIA WEC App. Race news and action can be followed on the FIA WEC official Twitter account (@FIAWEC) or on Instagram (FIAWEC_OFFICIAL).
