
Who MUST take part in the Test Day?
· Any new cars, with a minimum of one car per model.
· Any new teams or drivers (teams must field at least one car per team) who have never before participated in the 24 Hours.
· Any driver who has not participated or has not been on the recognised experienced driver list since 2009. These drivers must also, as of this year, take part in simulator training by May 29, 2014 at the latest, and complete at least ten laps during the course of the Test Day.
Who CAN take part in the Test Day?
· Competitors entered in the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans.
· Certain manufacturer cars in development. Remember last year that an additional Audi was entered specifically on behalf of Michelin for development of LMP1 tyres.
· Full season entrants from any ACO-sanctioned series such as the FIA WEC, ELMS, Asian LMS
· Other competitors, upon acceptance of a technical presentation file.
No more than 60 cars can take part in the official Test Day and this year 29 of them are full-season WEC entrants.
What cars will be at the Test Day?
There will be 7 LMP1-H, 3 LMP1-L, 18 LMP2, 9 LMGTE Pro and 18 LMGTE Am plus the Innovative Technology Nissan ZEOD RC entry.
