With 29 of the 35 full season entries for the 2015 World Endurance Championship attending The Prologue at the Circuit Paul Ricard there will be plenty for the media to see over the two days starting on the Friday 27 March and also for the fans who attend the public day on Saturday 28 March during the pitwalk and autograph session that will be part of the free event.
Audi, Nissan, Porsche and Toyota will all be in attendance at The Prologue. Nissan will bring just the no23 GT-R LM NISMO as they continue their pre season testing ahead of their WEC debut at Silverstone in April. The other three LMP1 manufacturers will be bringing both their 2015 contenders and a full complement of drivers. Team Bykolles will also be testing their CLM-AER LMP1 Privateer entry.
A full complement of 10 LMP2 entries will grace the Paul Ricard track, with Strakka, Oreca and HPD testing their new closed cockpit cars against the established Ligier JS P2, ELMS Champions Signatech Alpine and the Morgan Evo run by Team Sard Morand.
In LMGTE Pro there will be a total of 6 of the 7 full season entries. Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche will field two cars each at The Prologue as triple world champions Ferrari prepare to defend their title in 2015.
In LMGTE Am there will also be 5 of the 7 full season entries in attendance at The Prologue with two Ferraris, two Porsches and one of the GTE Am Aston Martin Racing Vantage V8s.
Gérard Neveu, CEO of the World Endurance Championship, said:“The Prologue has become an important and integral part of the WEC calendar. It is the first opportunity for all the competitors to test themselves against their rivals on a level playing field and for the media to see the teams and drivers all in one place for the first time in 2015. For the fans we also have the opportunity to see the cars and meet the drivers on the free public day on Saturday.”
