The 6 Hours of Shanghai has been red flagged after 16 minutes due to persistent and heavy rain which have made on-track conditions too dangerous to continue.
The race began under Safety Car but with several cars leaving the track the race director Eduardo Freitas issued the red flag status. Further updates regarding a possible re-start of the race will be communicated as soon as possible.
