Brendon Hartley – Porsche Team: “It was going well and to plan and then I got the puncture on the left rear. We lost a bunch of time but Timo has done a great few stints to get us back in to some kind of contention."
Mathias Beche – Rebellion Racing: “The start was good and we had a good balance in the car. There was some nice racing at the beginning and then it was just look after the tyres while keeping a good pace. The team have been fantastic on pit stops all year and we have a good advantage over our team mates at the moment.”
Olivier Pla – G-DRIVE Racing: “The race has been near perfect. The start was interesting but I was taking no big risks and the (KCMG) Oreca got through and then slowed. I looked in the mirrors and saw the accident. The ESM car is second and could take points away from SMP, so as long as we stay in the lead I will be very happy.”
Alex MacDowall – Aston Martin Racing: “Fernando avoided the incident on the first lap and built a good platform for us. We are in a decent position and we are still on the lead lap and running ok, still within reach of the AF Corse Ferrari. The final half of the race will be interesting.”
