As the WEC 6 Hours of Spa Francorchamps race moves into its final stages, the very impressive No.51 Ferrari 458 of Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander remains firmly in control of the LMGTE Pro category, with a lead now of 19 seconds over the No.97 Aston Martin Racing Vantage V8 of Darren Turner who has taken over from Bruno Senna. Another Ferrari which has made good progress over the last two hours is the No.71 AF entry of Davide Rigon and James Calado.
While there have been no great changes in the Pro class, there has been a change of leader in LMGTE Am. The pole-position sitting No.61 AF Corse Ferrari 458 of Marco Cioci, Mirko Venturi and Luis Perez Companc has retained the lead, the Ferrari stretching out a 40s lead over the No.98 and No.95 Aston Martin Vantages of Paul Dalla Lana and Kristian Poulsen respectively.
The race to the chequered flag, which will fall as the light begins to fade at the Spa Francorchamps circuit, is likely to be hard fought and as close as ever.
