A Ferrari First for Jeroen Bleekemolen

A Ferrari First for Jeroen Bleekemolen

Jeroen Bleekemolen is wearing an unfamiliar colour this weekend - Ferrari red!  The very rapid Dutchman anchors an intriguing new driver line-up in the No.61 LMGTE Am AF Corse Ferrari 458 alongside the USA's Bret Curtis and 2014 Pirelli World Challenge race winner Mike Skeen.

“It’s my first time in a Ferrari, ever,” said Jeroen, a man renowned for turning his hand to almost anything on four wheels, “that means either a Ferrari race or a road car.”

“I was close to racing for the whole WEC season this year but I had a deal to do Le Mans with the SRT Viper which was an issue.  It’s great to take a look at the WEC this weekend and there might be a possibility for me in 2015.”

Following the withdrawal of the SRT Viper team's entry to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Bleekemolen was snapped up by the Prospeed Competition team for its Porsche 911 GT3 RSR and made a bit of modern history by completing the race with just one other driver, Cooper MacNeil, after team mate Bret Curtis was injured in a qualifying accident.
