The Automobile Club de l'Ouest was last night presented with the John Bolster Award at the 2017 Autosport Awards in London, with President Pierre Fillon receiving the trophy on behalf of the ACO.
The Award, named after Autosport's co-founder and long-time Technical Editor, is presented annually to an organisation or person that has made an exceptional contribution to motorsport technology.
The ACO has run the 24 Hours of Le Mans throughout its long history, with the 2017 race being the 85th time the event has been held since its inception in 1923.
Pierre Fillon was presented with the award by 2017 World Endurance Champions and Le Mans winners Brendon Hartley, Earl Bamber and Timo Bernhard.
"It's a great honour to accept the award and to be here with the winners of Le Mans," said the President. "I accept this award on behalf of every single member of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, every volunteer, every marshal and all the fans.”
