America’s Josh Pierson to join United Autosports for 2022 FIA WEC season
Reigning LMP2 Champions United Autosports have today confirmed that 15-year-old American racing driver, Josh Pierson will join their team for the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship.
Pierson, who is currently racing in the Road to Indy USF2000 series in America, first sat in a kart at just two years old, racing locally at age four, nationally at seven and internationally at 11. After karting, Pierson moved into single seaters, racing F1600 and the USF2000’s, entering the Road to Indy series.
The young American, who turns 16 in February, will undertake an intensive testing programme with United Autosports ahead of his race debut in the FIA WEC next year. Competing at next year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans would make him the youngest driver in the event’s history.
NEWS: We are delighted to welcome Josh Pierson to our @FIAWEC team for the 2022 season.

Josh Pierson said: “I am honoured and grateful to have the opportunity to be part of such an accomplished team as United Autosports. I can’t believe how quickly my career has progressed in the past year. To suddenly be driving a car as fast as the LMP2 car, feels like a dream. I am looking forward to what the future has in store for me and the team. I have one simple goal, and that’s to help United produce the best results I can.”
