Glorious April sunshine and crystal clear blue skies are welcoming the fans and competitors to Silverstone this morning for the first race day of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship season.
The extreme elements of Saturday that helped to deliver such a thrilling and unpredictable qualifying session are long gone as calm, sunny conditions are set to provide the perfect backdrop to an action-packed and fan-friendly feast of endurance action today.
The 33 cars are glinting in the sun as the FIA WEC paddock gets ready to welcome the race fans to get close to them and their drivers ahead of the 6 Hours of Silverstone, which is scheduled to begin at 12.00 local time. The fans' Pit Walk will be held between 9:45 - 10:45 am, with a 30-minute drivers' autograph session taking place in front of their pit garages from 9:55 am.
