Audi to move into new HQ in Germany
01/09/2014

Audi Sport last weekend celebrated the official opening of its new headquarters in Neuburg-Heinrichsheim, Germany.  The state-of-the-art facility, which has been built on a 47 hectare (116-acre) site, is 20 kilometres from Audi’s current base in Ingolstadt and will be home to Audi Sport as well as Audi Sport Customer Racing and Audi Driving Experience’s Customer Operations.

The official ceremony was attended by Bavarian Minister Horst Seehofer and local politicians, as well as members of the Audi board.  Dr Wolfgang Ullrich, commented: “Relatively soon after I started as Head of Motorsport at Audi 21 years ago, discussions about a centre of our own began. The former supermarket we were located in was always just intended to be a provisional facility.

“The aim was to find a location in Ingolstadt and to be close to Technical Development (TE), but Audi kept growing during this time. As a result, it became increasingly difficult to find facilities in Ingolstadt.”

The move from Ingolstadt to Neuburg will be made before the end of the year.
