Audi wins rain-interrupted 6 Hours of COTA

The #2 Audi Sport Team Joest trio of Marcel Fässler, André  Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer picked up from where they left off at Le Mans by taking a well-judged victory in the fourth round of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas today.

Also celebrating in Texas tonight are the #12 Rebellion Racing and #47 KCMG crews, who took the silverware in the LMP1-L and LMP2 classes respectively.

Titanic battles raged in the GTE categories but it was Aston Martin Racing that took both victories, with the #97 Vantage V8 of Darren Turner and Mücke winning LMGTE Pro for the first time this season, and the #98 car of Pedro Lamy, Paul Dalla Lana and Christoffer Nygaard taking LMGTE AM honours.
