The Audi motorsport squad recently thrilled employees and their family members at the traditional Family Day at the company’s Technical Development base in Ingolstadt.
The nine-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, two-time DTM Champion Mattias Ekström, five-time Macau winner Edoardo Mortara, and their driver colleagues Lucas di Grassi, Jamie Green and Nico Müller were all present at the brand’s German headquarters.
They mingled with the crowds, did autograph sessions and on-stage interviews, and allowed the factory-based workforce to see how much they were valued and appreciated. Among the cars present for people to pore over were last year’s championship-winning Audi R18 e-tron quattro and a cutaway model of the LMP race car which demonstrated the technical expertise of the brand in racing.
