Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain:  Where to watch the final battle commence

The Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain promises to be emotionally charged and full of excitement and it all takes place on Saturday 18th November at the impressive and welcoming Bahrain International Circuit.

The final round of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship, the final chance for teams to win the coveted championship titles including the GT FIA World Endurance Drivers Championship, and the final race for Porsche’s LMP1 team.  The Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain promises to be emotionally charged and full of excitement and it all takes place on Saturday 18th November at the impressive and welcoming Bahrain International Circuit.

Porsche has already been crowned World Champion in the Manufacturers’ championship, and Brendon Hartley, Earl Bamber and Timo Bernhard go into this weekend with the Drivers’ crown secured.  However, the fight for the remaining six titles across the LMP2, LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am classes will be fierce and hugely competitive as there is much at stake.

Europe
Pan Europe, Motorsport.tv once again leads the way with the whole race being shown live across Europe as well as in France and the UK, while Eurosport will air the final 2.5 hours of the race and podium ceremonies on ES1 across its European network.   

The free-to-air Sport 1 channel in Germany will show key hours of the race live and direct, as will La Chaine L’Equipe in France, with additional full live coverage in Austria (ORF Sport) and on TV2 in Denmark.  Further race broadcasts will air (not live) in Belgium (RTBF), Netherlands (RTL 7 and Ziggo Sport), and United Kingdom (BT Sport and ITV4) – check the TV distribution list for updates and exact timings, where given.  

Asia Pacific 
Eurosport will show the full race live across the Pan Asia Pacific region, offering the chance to see a thrilling finale to the 2017 WEC to its 50 million households, while China’s Sina.com and TenCent channel’s coverage will also be live and direct, following Jackie Chan DC Racing in its quest for LMP2 title success.  Sina.com will also show qualifying which will be all-important for those teams and drivers chasing championships.  

Japan’s J Sports JS4 channel will show the full race live, no doubt anxious to see if Toyota can take a third successive victory, with highlights also being shown on the free-to-air BS Fuji channel on 25 November.  Eurosport in Australia will show full coverage of the Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain, while New Zealand’s TV3 will show highlights covering its new World Champions Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber.

The Americas
Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK’s drivers Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell are chasing GT Drivers championship success, followed by FOX Sports in North America, Canada and the Caribbean who will show the full race live across its TV and internet channels, with the first hour being shown on FS1 and the second on FS2.  Meanwhile, FOX International’s live coverage of the whole race will be on FS3 in Central and South America.

Rest of the World
BEIN Sports from the host Middle East region will show the race live (details to be confirmed) as the season looks forward to a thrilling conclusion in Bahrain, while SuperSport’s Pan Africa highlights of the WEC event will be shown the week following the race.

Commentary in English will be available on all live transmissions and official WEC highlights shows plus on the FIA WEC App, with Toby Moody, Graham Goodwin and Louise Beckett bringing all the excitement and action to viewers live from Bahrain.  There are also numerous other ways to follow the full race live online – see document for full details.
