COTA and Alpine added to official FIA WEC game ‘Le Mans Ultimate’

‘Le Mans Ultimate’, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans, has added Alpine Endurance Team and the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) to its forthcoming Downloadable Content (DLC) pack.

COTA returned to the FIA WEC calendar this season, posing its own unique set of challenges to drivers and teams. From the dry desert heat to its arduous nature and anti-clockwise layout, the demanding Texan track is characterised by fast, flowing turns through sector one and tighter, twistier sections over the second half of the lap.

Produced by the legendary French sportscar manufacturer, the Alpine A424 truly stands out on the grid, conjuring up the magic and mystique of yesteryear with its angular, purposeful looks and vibrant 3.4-litre, V6 Mecachrome engine note. A new addition to the field in 2024, the A424 – which secured a maiden podium finish in last weekend’s 6 Hours of Fuji – is also coming to sim racing for very first time in Le Mans Ultimate, as its pace and momentum continue to build from round-to-round.

The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 Competizione – which contested the opening five races of the current WEC campaign – is similarly a new introduction in Le Mans Ultimate’s second DLC, completing the Hypercar grid, and is accompanied by a whole host of fresh content, updates, iconic liveries and dynamic gameplay feature, Co-op mode.

This will allow gamers to form a team with friends, take on challenges and compete against other teams on a global leaderboard in their own time, thereby honing vital teamwork skills.

Developed and published by Studio 397, the red, white and blue-inspired pack will go on sale at an early-access rate via Steam for just £9.99 / €11.99 / $12.99 on Tuesday, 24 September.

The 2024 DLC Season Pass is also available, allowing players to access the latest content the minute it is ready to be brought into the game. Priced at £39.99 / €35.99 / $48.99, this pass offers a saving of almost 25 per cent compared to purchasing all four packs individually. The 2024 Season Pass bundles together all four packs, which includes the four new 2024 Hypercars, four iconic circuits and seven of the closely-matched GT3 cars which will come in the final two larger packs.

Players who have already bought the money-saving Season Pass will automatically receive the latest content when they update the game via Steam on 24 September.

The third 2024 DLC pack and more innovative gameplay features are due to be launched before the end of the year.
