Deletraz and Di Resta confirmed for WEC Portimão race
It was confirmed over the weekend that two big name drivers will be on the entry list for the next round of the FIA WEC at Portimão in Portugal next month (11 – 13 June).
Reigning LMP2 Champions United Autosports USA announced today that Paul Di Resta will replace Filipe Albuquerque for the 8 Hours of Portimão. Di Resta is set to step in for Albuquerque who will be on IMSA duty in the USA.

The Scotsman said: “It’s nice to get back racing and I’m looking forward to getting back in the car – I haven’t driven the #22 since I raced in Bahrain with United at the end of last year.”
Elsewhere, Inter Europol Competition has also confirmed a driver change for the next WEC round as F2 driver Louis Deletraz is set to replace Renger van der Zande in the Polish flagged team. Swiss driver Deletraz – who won last year's inaugural 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual - will also compete at the WEC race in Fuji later this year.
The provisional 8 Hours of Portimão entry list is due to be announced in the next week.
