Entry list published for 6 Hours of Imola
The entry list for the 6 Hours of Imola – round two of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship campaign on 18-20 April – has been published today.
Following a dramatic curtain-raising contest in Qatar, expectations are high for another unpredictable and action-packed affair as FIA WEC returns to Europe for the first time since last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Ferrari leads the way in the Hypercar category heading to its home circuit, buoyed by a commanding podium lockout at Lusail. In front of its beloved tifosi, the Prancing Horse secured the top three spots on the grid at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari last season, but failed to convert that into victory after being wrong-footed by the weather. Reigning title-holder Porsche Penske Motorsport will continue to run three-driver crews in its pair of 963 Hypercars in preparation for Le Mans, with the German brand bidding to quickly bounce back from a disappointing start to its championship defence in the Middle East. Aston Martin THOR Team is conversely slimming down to two drivers in each of its Valkyries, as per the squad’s plan for the shorter races.
In LMGT3, British outfits TF Sport (Corvette) and United Autosports (McLaren) will look to reprise their epic Qatari duel, while Vista AF Corse will be eager to exploit home advantage with its two-strong stable of Ferraris.
The only driver change is in the #78 Akkodis ASP Team Lexus, where the injured Ben Barnicoat will be replaced by Esteban Masson.
