Final Pro and Rivals LMES rounds this weekend – don’t miss it!
The final Pro race of the Le Mans Esports Series (LMES) will take place on the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit this Saturday (25 April) with the Porsche 911 RSR.
Tomorrow (Friday 24 April) will also be the last stage of qualifying in the Rivals category, which is accessible for everyone, with the competition running until Sunday 3 May. The best drivers will be invited to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Super Final (19-20 September).
Fans must launch Forza Motorsport 7 and go to the "Rivals" section. Here, among the events on offer, they will find the last round of the Le Mans Esports Series. Players must then post the best possible time, by virtually competing against players from all over the world in a time trial.
Saturday’s Pro race will begin at 19h00 BST / 20h00 CEST and can be viewed via the Le Mans Esports Series Facebook page, as well as being streamed on the official FIA WEC YouTube channel.
Like normal, two races will be held on Saturday: a sprint race followed by an endurance race. The stakes are high because at the end of Spa, we will know the six teams that automatically get their invitations for the Super Final at this year’s Le Mans.
After finishing second at the previous round at Sebring, Red Bull Racing now top the overall standings with 186 points, leading Lazarus Racing by 10 points. Previous winners Total Performance Racing are a further 24 points behind Red Bull Racing with a total of 162 points.
Each Pro race uses the Forza Motorsport 7 game and features a different car with this weekend’s race using the Porsche 911 RSR. There are five rounds throughout the season and only one driver from the team can compete at each race. This is the second season of the Le Mans Esports Series which has an increased prize pool of $200,000.
