The countdown is on until the start of this year’s TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the penultimate round of the WEC Super Season, which will see the green flag dropped four weeks today (Saturday 4 May).
A total of 35 cars will make up this year’s entry in Belgium, where it’s possible that Porsche could win the battle for the coveted World Endurance GTE Manufacturers’ Championship. It’s also numerically achievable for Toyota Gazoo Racing’s trio Fernando Alonso, Kazuki Nakajima and Sébastien Buemi to take the the LMP Drivers’ Championship with one round still remaining...
Qualifying will take place on Friday 3 May with the 6-hour race scheduled for the following day. The Belgian round of WEC is the traditional dress rehearsal for the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will form this year’s season-finale for the very first time.
