How to follow the 24 Hours of Le Mans
11/06/2014

If you are not lucky enough to be one of the 240,000+ fans attending this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, there are many different ways in which you can follow all the activities on and off track, and track the progress of your favourite team(s) or drivers(s) through practice today to the end of the event at 3pm on Sunday.

As well as being able to follow what happens on the official websites of the FIA WEC (fiawec.com) and the ACO (24h-lemans.com), plus link to their social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter (#LM24) and Instagram, there are also other additional options.

First of all there is 24 Hours of Le Mans App which is available for any equipment that can use iPhone or Android applications. Under the name “24 Heures du Mans” it can be downloaded for free from AppStore or Googleplay and it has two levels of accessibility.  The free access includes news, live classifications, on-board cameras, cars’ positions on the track, information on the drivers and teams, reports, interviews, videos, summaries and is available from 16h00 today.

The Le Mans 24-Hours internet channel, Le Mans TV, is also back on www.24h-lemans.com from this afternoon onwards, and is available in French and English.  The on-track action will be intercut with reports and interviews done specially for it from scrutineering and the autograph session yesterday.

Footage from the race is broadcast globally and differs in each country, but official partner to the event Eurosport will be on air whenever the cars are on track.  The English-language commentary on British Eurosport and Eurosport International reaches a potential 28 million viewers around the globe, as well as coverage in French, German, Dutch and many more languages.

Every track session, and the whole race live and uninterrupted, is also available from the FIA WEC’s radio partner, Radio Le Mans,  www.radiolemans.com and around the circuit on 91.2FM. Aside from the action there’s a whole schedule of special programmes tailored to the endurance fan, and every moment of live broadcasting will be available, free, to download or listen to on demand.  In French, Radio 24 Heures - 91.5 FM will also be broadcasting live and uninterrupted for the benefit of all Francophones everywhere, with English and German updates also available.
