It’s race day at Spa!
Today marks the opening round of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
A revised entry list featuring 33 cars will start the race following the retirement of both Team Project 1 Porsche 911 RSR cars in the LMGTE Am category.
During yesterday’s qualifying, Egidio Perfetti lost control of the No. 56 car and hit the barrier at Raidillon. The damage of the shell structure on the rear left is severe and not repairable, forcing the team to retire.
The Toyota Gazoo Racing – No. 7 Toyota GR010-Hybrid will start today’s race in pole position, with the No. 22 United Autosports USA entry leading the LMP2 field. Porsche GT Team heads up the LMGTE Pro field, with TF Sport and the Aston Martin Vantage AMR up front in LMGTE Am.
Today’s 6 hour race will start at 13h30 CEST.
