Legge replaces Gatting in No. 85 Iron Lynx entry
Iron Lynx has shuffled its driver line-up for its 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) campaign with Katherine Legge replacing Michelle Gatting.
Legge will step in for Gatting in the No. 85 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GTE EVO joining Manuela Gostner and Rahel Frey in the highly-competitive LMGTE Am category for round one of WEC Season 9, the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (29 April-1 May).
Britain’s Legge has mostly focused on the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship in recent seasons, finishing runner-up in the GTD class back in 2018. She has also competed at Indy500 on two occasions.
Last year, the 40-year-old female driver was named as part of the Richard Mille Racing Team in ELMS alongside Sophia Floersch and Tatiana Calderon but was forced to sit out the season following a testing incident at Paul Ricard.
