Krohn Racing switch to Michelin

Since last year, the Krohn Racing team has used Dunlop tyres to establish themselves as the top team in the LMGTE Am class, however from Silverstone onward, the American team created by Tracy Krohn will return to Michelin tyres.

The Krohn Racing team will conduct a practice session on the 24th and 25th July at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk, to begin work with Michelin to prepare the fourth round of FIA World Endurance Championship Endurance on the 26th of August at Silverstone (tickets here).

TRACY W. KROHN, Team Owner/Driver No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari F458 GTE-Am: “I am very pleased that we have succeeded in making arrangements with Michelin for Krohn Racing to use Michelin tires on our Ferrari F458 GTE-Am entry for the remaining events in the WEC. I have raced on Michelins at Le Mans and in the ALMS and their tires and service are exemplary. I believe we will now find more speed at the forthcoming events and hope this will propel our Ferrari to race wins and Championship victory.”

The team based near the Road Atlanta circuit is currently in third place in LMGTE Am after the 24 hours of Le Mans, the third round of the World Championship where they scored points for second place in the Championship as second placed competitor was not registered in the Championship. A result that looks good since the points are double for the 24 hours, but they are up against Larbre Competition who won in La Sarthe, and were already leading before the French endurance classic.
