The BMW M8 GTE continues its testing programme (video)
BMW Motorsport is gearing up to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Super Season with two M8 GTEs in the LMGTE Pro class.
In preparation, the Bavarian marque is continuing with its test programme and the BMW M8 GTE has completed numerous testing sessions since its wheels first touched the ground.
After tests at Circuit Paul Ricard in France and Sebring in the USA, its competition debut is fast approaching: the Rolex 24 at Daytona (January 27-28).
Four drivers are confirmed to compete in the WEC Super Season which is set to close with the 2019 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans: Augusto Farfus, Nick Catsburg, António Félix da Costa and Martin Tomczyk. Philipp Eng, Alexander Sims and Tom Blomqvist will join the others for certain rounds.
