Peugeot TotalEnergies has been awarded the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Sustainability Endurance Award by DHL.

Announced at the FIA WEC's official end of season ceremony, the French marque was awarded the trophy based on the team's carbon impact strategy.

It is mandatory for all participating WEC teams to take part in the new initiative in line with the FIA WEC and ACO's intention to work on climate issues by involving all stakeholders and teams. They are assessed on two main areas:

1: “Low Carbon Impact”: Action to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions

2: Positive Innovation": develop projects with positive social and/or environmental impact

The award follows on from the ACO's and 24 Hours of Le Mans Sustainable Endurance Award which was introduced in 2021 alongside DHL and is presented at Le Mans each year on the Positive Innovation area.

The jury constituted of representatives from across the WEC (Sport and CSR), the ACO (Sport and CSR), as well as a representative from DHL. After studying the applications, it was concluded that Peugeot TotalEnergies has developed a highly professional approach in its carbon footprint. The four main action pillars are related to the facilities and personnel, logistics, races and teams.

More specifically, the company has a strong measurement and implementation process already in progress in relation to its carbon strategy followed with a shared ambition aligned with global issues and recommendations.

Peugeot TotalEnergies are also showing that they are on track to reduce carbon emissions by 30% by 2030.
