One month to go until WEC Prologue at Spa-Francorchamps
In just one month’s time, the FIA WEC will roar into action for the Official Prologue (pre-season test), followed by round one of WEC Season 9 at Spa-Francorchamps (29 April - 1 May).
2021 signifies the start of an exciting new era for the WEC with the introduction of the Hypercar category, replacing the former headline LMP1 category which had formed the championship’s top category since it was formed back in 2012.
A total of 37 cars will battle it out on the epic race circuit known for the likes of La Source, the Kemmel Straight and of course the legendary Eau Rouge and Raidillon section with all the action streamed live via the official FIA WEC app. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the WEC Prologue and season-opener will be staged behind closed doors.
Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and Spanish F4 Endurance Legends will also be present in Belgium as support categories to the WEC.
