Perrinn confirms first orders for 2018 FIA WEC LMP1 Privateer

British motorsports engineering company Perrinn has announced that it has received the first order for two of its new LMP1 car with a view to entering the 2018 FIA World Endurance Championship. A number of different chassis manufacturers have expressed interest in the LMP1 Privateer sub-category for 2018 onwards, including Perrinn.

The as yet unnamed car is expected to be revealed in late November before testing starts in December, with more details due to be announced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.  The identity of the European race team planning to purchase the cars has not been revealed.
