Porsche announces driver line ups for LMP1 919 Hybrid
Porsche Motorsport has today announced via its official Twitter feed (@PorscheRaces) the driver line- ups for its two LMP1-H entries in the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship.
In the No.14 Porsche 919 Hybrid will be former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Romain Dumas (FRA), ex F1 and Rebellion Racing LMP1 driver Neel Jani (CHE) and long-time Porsche factory driver and 2013 Le Mans LMGTE Pro class winner, Marc Lieb (DEU).
Another former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner (in 2010 with Dumas) and well-established Porsche factory driver is Timo Bernhard (DEU) and he will be joined in the No.20 Porsche Team entry by two newcomers to the FIA WEC, both from the Antipodes. Mark Webber (AUS) will be making his much anticipated return to sports prototype racing alongside Bernhard and young 2013 ELMS standout, Brendon Hartley (NZL).
The Porsche 919 Hybrid is due to be unveiled tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show and can be seen on Porsche's website HERE.
