Porsche reveals new WEC challenger at Goodwood
Recently-crowned FIA World Endurance GTE Manufacturers’ Champions Porsche unveiled its FIA WEC Season 8 challenger – a revised Porsche 911 RSR – at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.
The vehicle has undergone improvements in all areas, with the redesigned 911 RSR presented at Goodwood by Porsche legend Jörg Bergmeister. The car was then driven up the famous Goodwood hill by Gianmaria Bruni – second in this year’s LMGTE Pro Le Mans battle alongside Richard Lietz and Frédéric Makowiecki.
Other WEC stars attending this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed included Aston Martin Racing plus Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Mike Conway and the Toyota TS050 HYBRID, fresh from its first-place finish at last month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
