Porsche took a third 1-2 finish of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship season at Fuji Speedway this evening after a sensational race held first in wet and then drying conditions.

Timo Bernhard driving the No.17 Porsche 919 Hybrid took the chequered flag ahead of the sister No.18 car after the team swapped the positions with eight minutes to go. The #18 Porsche had led for the majority of the race until the last minute drama played out.

Rebellion Racing took its first LMP1 privateer class win since Le Mans as Mathias Beche and Nicolas Prost beat the ByKolles CLM P1/01.

The #26 G-Drive Racing Ligier-Nissan of Roman Rusinov, Sam Bird and Julien Canal took a third LMP2 victory of the season after another tense battle with the KCMG ORECA which saw contact on several occasions. Signatech Alpine finished second in class, with G-Drive also finishing in third after a collision between the No.28 and the KCMG in the final 30-minutes of the race put the Hong Kong entered car out of the race.  The incident will be investigated after the race.
