Kvyat and full driver line-up announced for Prema Racing
Prema Racing has announced its full driver line-up for its two-car LMP2 campaign in this year’s FIA WEC which includes ex-F1 driver Daniil Kvyat.
The Italian squad announced Doriane Pin and Juan Manuel Correa as two of their drivers last month but revealed four further names in their team press release this morning including Kvyat and factory Lamborghini driver Marco Bortolotti. Both drivers will join Pin in the No. 63 Oreca 07.

A veteran of 110 F1 starts, Kvyat will make the switch to the WEC this season. “It’s a very exciting part of my career to join PREMA and compete in the WEC together,” explained the former AlphaTauri driver. “The team is very notorious for previous success, and is now looking to conquer the world of endurance racing as well… I’m very motivated to give my absolute best to try put ourselves in the top positions.”
In the team’s sister No. 9 car will be Dutchman Bent Viscaal who competed in ELMS and at Le Mans last year, as well as Romania’s Filip Ugran – who transitions to the WEC after racing in Formula 4 and FIA Formula 3.
Correa will miss the opening round at Sebring due to a clash with Formula 2, with his spot in the car being taken by Lamborghini driver Andrea Caldarelli.
Both cars will be action for round one of the WEC – the 1000 Miles of Sebring – which takes place on 17 March.
