Ready to Roll: Final preparations completed as Super Season dawns
The teams have completed their final preparations and the scene is almost set for the start of the first ever FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season at Spa-Francorchamps.
There could not be a better place for the spectacular action to begin as the Ardennes forest welcomes both a bumper grid of sportscars and what is expected to be a massive crowd of racing fans.
The paddock has received its finishing touches and was looking resplendent in the Spa spring sunshine as the drivers started their preparations with a track walk.
FIA WEC new boys such as Fernando Alonso, Pietro Fittipaldi and Pastor Maldonado spent time with their engineers as they took in the legendary 4.352- kilometres circuit deep with the beautiful Ardennes forest.
With new teams and drivers coming to the first FIA WEC Super Season the anticipation is as high as ever with new fans set to be attracted to this dynamic and fascinating discipline of motorsport.
So, as they say, ‘just one more sleep’ to the start of something very special indeed!
