Racing Team Nederland and Signatech commit to 2019-2020
Over the past week, two teams – Racing Team Nederland and Signatech Alpine – have confirmed they have submitted entries to continue their WEC programmes for the 2019-2020 season.
Racing Team Nederland will compete in an ORECA next year in collaboration with TDS, the renowned French team having already achieved numerous victories and titles in endurance racing, most notably with the French chassis manufacturer. The team’s drivers remain unchanged with Frits van Eerd, Giedo van der Garde and Nyck de Vries at the wheel.
The squad also revealed its new, one-off colour scheme for 24 Hours of Le Mans (pictured below), which is inspired by the Italian Minardi Formula 1 team.
Meanwhile, the Signatech Alpine team have also confirmed they will continue in the WEC’s highly-competitive LMP2 category next season.
The French team are currently top of the LMP2 leaderboard going into the WEC Super Finale, four points ahead of nearest rivals Jackie Chan DC Racing. Indeed, Signatech will be feeling confident having won last year’s LMP2 battle at Le Mans, also taking the accolade back in 2016.
The team will announce its 2019-2020 driver line-up in due course.
