Audi Sport Team Joest is paying respect this weekend to long-time President of the Belgian Audi Club, J-G Mal-Voy, who died on 20th April.
A prominent figure of the motor racing fraternity, Mal-Voy also played a key role in the rise to success of the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT organisation.
Audi is displaying tribute to his memory with a special decal on each of the three Audi R18 e-tron quattro entries at Spa this weekend.
The WEC would also like to send its condolences to the family and friends of Radu Grigorescu who was a valued member of the event team at the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and worked on many motorsport events for over 25 years. Radu passed away recently and is in the thoughts of all present at the circuit this week.
Last week the racing world also lost the inspirational figure of François Michelin, who headed the Michelin company for 47 years before handing over the reins to his son Edouard. He transformed the Group by giving it an international dimension. The WEC extends its sympathies to the entire Michelin family.
