Rolex, major partner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA WEC

The Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) are delighted to announce the long-term renewal of their historic partnership with Rolex.

Founded in 1905, a year before the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, Rolex boasts an unrivalled pedigree in watchmaking.

The two organisations have enjoyed a strong relationship since 2001, underpinned by their common pursuit of excellence, legacy and sustainability. Three values that are also shared by the FIA WEC and resulted in the championship joining forces with Rolex in 2016. This extraordinary partnership with one of the world's most prestigious brands confirms the watchmaker’s faith in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In the centenary year of the world’s greatest endurance race, the ACO and the FIA WEC are delighted to announce the renewal of their partnership with Rolex.

Rolex is globally reputed for its expertise and the quality of its products. The iconic brand has pioneered innovation and is driven by a quest for technological progress that is shared by the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Each year, Rolex awards six Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watches. Three for the winning team of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and three for the Hypercar world champion drivers. The emblematic model celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2023.

Pierre Fillon, president of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest: “I'm thrilled to be renewing our partnership with the prestigious Rolex brand. Our organisations have so much in common and I would like to thank Rolex for their loyalty over the years. The ACO has enjoyed the invaluable support of this iconic brand for over twenty years, and we both have the same illlustrious ambassador: Tom Kristensen, who has been promoting the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary around the world in recent months.”

Frédéric Lequien, CEO of the FIA World Endurance Championship: “We are proud to announce the renewal of our partnership with Rolex. Since 2016, this fruitful alliance, based on excellence, precision and team spirit, has strengthened our ties and contributed to the development of our sport. Together, we will continue to write the history of the World Endurance Championship. I extend my warmest thanks to Rolex and their management team for this vote of confidence.”

Jean-Frédéric Dufour, CEO of Rolex: “We are delighted about our long-term partnership with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and the World Endurance Championship, which symbolizes our historic link with motorsport. Renewing our partnership in the centenary year of the oldest endurance race in the world illustrates our commitment to a long-term vision with our partners. Our desire to support this legendary race remains intact, as does our commitment to the development of the sport, its innovations and talents, in pursuit of excellence.”
