No.8 Toyota extends lead; drama in LMGTE Pro as No.92 Porsche retires from lead

- Toyota Gazoo Racing stamp authority in mid portion of race as No.8 Toyota TS 050 HYBRID extends lead
- Kazuki Nakajima takes over in No.8 Toyota at fourth pit stop and emerges in second position as Mike Conway takes lead briefly in No.7 TS 050 HYBRID
- Conway relinquishes lead back a lap later and Nakajima opens small advantage
- No.2 Porsche 919 Hybrid, with Brendon Hartley completing a triple stint, loses further time after front bodywork change is undertaken at scheduled pit stop
