Britain’s Jarvis replaces Dyson; Da Costa steps in for Maldonado
This weekend’s 4 Hours of Silverstone, round one of FIA WEC Season 8, will see a couple of last minute driver changes for British teams JOTA and Team LNT.
The No. 6 Ginetta G60-LT-P1 - AER sees WEC stalwart Oliver Jarvis step in for American Chris Dyson who has injured his wrist.
Jarvis has a hugely varied career in single seaters, Touring Cars and Sports Prototypes. He is also an ex-factory Audi LMP1 driver with two overall and three LMP2 class wins in the WEC, finishing second overall in 2016 and second in LMP2 in 2017.
The news that Jarvis will replace Dyson in the Ginetta means that the total number of British drivers competing on home soil this weekend at Silverstone increases to 20 – nearly a quarter of the entire WEC field.
Elsewhere, it was announced last week that ex-BMW WEC driver Antonio Felix da Costa will replace Pastor Maldonado in the No. 38 Oreca 07 – Gibson JOTA car.
Tickets for the upcoming Silverstone race start from just £10 and can be purchased HERE.
