The sun was shining at Shanghai International Circuit this morning as the atmosphere began to build for the eighth round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The crowd was starting to come through the gates and get ready for the morning autograph session where the teams and drivers would welcome the growing numbers of Chinese fans.
With the prospect of 31 thoroughbred endurance cars battling it out over the entire six hours, and potential champions being crowned today there are a range of questions that could be answered this evening.
Will the No.2 Porsche maintain a healthy points lead? Can Signatech Alpine stretch its lead in LMP2 or even take the title? Will Ford take a second consecutive 1-2? Can the No.83 AF Corse wrap-up the Am title?
