Vandoorne named as reserve driver for Peugeot
Peugeot TotalEnergies have confirmed that Belgium’s Stoffel Vandoorne will be the team’s official reserve driver for its 2023 FIA WEC campaign.
Vandoorne, the reigning Formula E Champion, has amassed plenty of FIA WEC experience in recent years after the 30-year-old competed with JOTA in the highly-competitive LMP2 category for the last two years.
Alongside Tom Blomqvist and Sean Gelael, Vandoorne finished second in the LMP2 standings in 2021 and narrowly missed out on a win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
