WEC champions crowned at FIA prize-giving ceremony in Baku
The 2023 FIA World Endurance Champions were officially crowned at the annual FIA prize-giving ceremony which was held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The 2023 FIA Hypercar World Endurance Drivers’ Champions Sebastien Buemi, Ryo Hirakawa and Brendon Hartley received their award for the second year in a row. Toyota Gazoo Racing also claimed the manufacturers' title after taking six race victories this season.
Team WRT was awarded the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Teams with Louis Deletraz, Robert Kubica and Rui Andrade receiving the LMP2 drivers’ trophy.
In LMGTE Am, the silverware went to Corvette Racing thanks to the incredible season-long efforts by Ben Keating, Nico Varrone and Nicky Catsburg which saw the trio take the title with two rounds to spare.
Finally, Hertz Team JOTA was awarded the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams.
