WEC Full Access is back, watch episode one from Qatar

Episode one of the 2024 season from Qatar is available on the FIA WEC YouTube channel.

Insights into the WEC’s biggest teams and drivers, WEC Full Access shows snippets of private team briefings and heated mid-race discussions. It reveals tears, heartache and celebrations as the YouTube series documents the most private areas of the WEC paddock.

Episode one focuses on several new faces in the WEC including an interview with 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, Jenson Button plus interactions between Valentino Rossi and his WRT team-mates.

There’s also never-seen-before footage of new Hypercar teams Alpine, BMW and Lamborghini plus the all-new LMGT3 field as well as private conversations inside the garages of various teams up and down the paddock.

Fans can watch the historic moment that Porsche clinched pole position with team owner Roger Penske proudly watching on and the reaction from the other teams. Later there’s the heart-wrenching moment that the No. 93 Peugeot stopped on track with just one lap to go and the raw emotions that followed for the entire squad.

This episode also gives a unique insight into what goes on inside race control including a debate about penalties from the stewards’ room. Then later in the episode, we see just how much the sweet taste of victory meant to the entire Porsche Penske team after a last-minute pitstop following contact on the circuit.

The on-track action and onboards are coupled with valuable insights from 2014 FIA WEC champion Anthony Davidson.  He is joined by pitlane reporter Louise Beckett as the duo analyse what it’s really like to compete in the world’s most prestigious sportscar series.
