Alpine Endurance Team reveals Hypercar challenger at joint F1 launch

At a shared press launch alongside Alpine F1 today, Alpine Endurance Team revealed its brand-new A424 Hypercar that will take part in this year’s FIA WEC.

With ten years of experience already in the WEC, the French manufacturer is taking a new step forward with the Alpine A424 Hypercar, which has already been under development for 18 months. Alpine Endurance Team will field two cars starting at the WEC season-opener in Doha next month (1-2 March).

Frenchmen Paul-Loup Chatin and Charles Milesi will join Austria’s Ferdinand Habsburg in the No. 35 car. Meanwhile France’s Nicolas Lapierre and Matthieu Vaxiviere will be joined by Mick Schumacher (Germany), who is making the transition from Formula 1 to drive the sister No. 36 car. Reserve driver Jules Gounon will support the line-up by contributing to the A424's ongoing development process.

Backed by the unwavering commitment of Luca de Meo, CEO Renault Group, and Bruno Famin, VP Alpine Motorsports, Alpine Endurance Team is led by Philippe Sinault, with three wins at Le Mans and two world titles in LMP2 for Alpine to his name.
