BMW M Team WRT completes successful test with BMW M Hybrid V8

The BMW M Team WRT have successfully completed three days of testing at Spa-Francorchamps with the BMW M Hybrid V8.

BMW is the latest of a long list of manufacturers who have confirmed they will compete in the WEC's headline Hypercar category in 2024 joining the likes of Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, Cadillac, Peugeot, Lamborghini and Alpine.

The efforts of the BMW M Team WRT with the carbon-black BMW M Hybrid V8 focused on optimizing systems and performance with drivers including Robin Frijns, Marco Wittmann and Nick Yelloly getting behind the wheel.

Following the test, Frijns commented: “As I have only recently become a part of this fantastic project, I am still in the process of comprehending the BMW M Hybrid V8 in all its complexity. I am learning with each lap. However, things have gone very well here at Spa-Francorchamps, and we have made significant progress with the car. I am looking forward to the upcoming tests.”
