The sun is shining brightly over the Nürburgring, venue for the 4th round of the 2017 FIA WEC, and a great weekend ahead is on offer to fans.

The sunshine will be back for the weekend, accompanying the 29 LMP and GTE cars as they fight for not one but two World Championship titles…the only FIA World Championship to offer this.

In the two years the WEC has been coming to the Nürburgring, German fans have taken it to their hearts and one of the reasons is the great, free access to teams, drivers and cars and open paddocks.

Pit walks and autograph sessions:

There will be a 75-minute pit walk on Saturday 15th July which is open to all fans and which offers them a great chance to get close to their heroes and favourites.  This takes place between 11:00 and 12:15.

Sunday also features a pit walk between 08:00 and 08:50 plus an autograph session in the WEC paddock between 09:45 and 10:15.

Entertainment Zone:

Did you know the giant WEC fan zone tent in the WEC paddock is free to enter, and everything within it is free?  There are simulators, Virtual Reality games, and plenty more for all the family to see and do.  Go on, give it a try!

Top class track action:

Aside from the WEC’s three free practice sessions on Friday and Saturday morning, there is the excitement of qualifying on Saturday which is a team effort with the best fastest laps of two drivers from each entry combining to set the grid.  Endurance racing is a team sport, so why not qualifying as well?

The main event, the 6 Hours of Nürburgring, begins at 13:00 on Sunday 16th July and anyone can take the winners’ laurels throughout the four classes – follow it live or on the FIA WEC App wherever you are!

The support races from the World Series Formula V8 3.5, Eurocup Formula Renault and Porsche Motorsport Race Weekend are guaranteed to provide non-stop entertainment on track.

Don’t miss a minute of the action – be at the Nürburgring this weekend!
