The pleasant conditions are the perfect start to race day and, with anticipation and excitement running high, the cars are being readied and the drivers are finding their pens and autograph cards for the popular morning autograph session.

Thousands of fans are entering the track to soak up the pre-race atmosphere and taking in the many off-track entertainments and attractions in the special fan zone.

These will include the RED DEVILS aerobatic squad which will do a demonstration of about ten minutes before the start of the race over the cars on the starting grid.

These ambassadors of the Belgian Air Force fly with single-engine propeller Marchetti SF-260. This very versatile aircraft is the aircraft on which all future F-16 pilots acquire their first flight experience. The bright red machines carry the black yellow and red colours of the Belgian flag on their rear wing.

With thirty cars set to blast off at 14.30 local time and race into the Ardennes dusk, the second round of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship is already shaping up to be a memorable encounter.

Endurance racing legend Tom Kristensen is set to wave the green flag at the start of the race, and with tight battles guaranteed throughout the four classes, Saturday at Spa is shaping up to be an unmissable spectacle.
