Watch WEC Full Access from Fuji!

The sixth episode of WEC Full Access will air this evening (22 September) giving fans behind-the-scenes insights from the recent 6 Hours of Fuji, round six of the FIA WEC.

The episode will premiere on the FIA WEC YouTube channel from 9pm CEST / 8pm BST tonight (Friday)

The show will also be available in French HERE.

Giving fans a fascinating insight into the FIA WEC’s biggest teams and drivers, WEC Full Access covers everything from team briefings to heated mid-race discussions. It is the ultimate YouTube series which documents the most private areas of the WEC paddock.

The episode kicks off with WEC TV’s Anthony Davidson and Louise Beckett chatting with the Toyota Gazoo Racing drivers at a team dinner in Gotemba two days before race action starts. It then moves to the paddock showing the WEC teams preparing for the championship's penultimate race, including the unique Circuit Safari where fans get to see the cars up close via a bus.

Qualifying is next and it’s a fraught affair with drops of rain at the end of the session, and a near incident between Peugeot and Ferrari which shows behind-the-scenes footage from inside the stewards’ office.

The race is to follow as WEC Full Access follows various chats on the grid as teams discuss strategies and Ferrari question their choice of tyrewear compared to rivals Toyota.  We also see in garage frustrations from Iron Dames’ all-female crew during a driver swap and the aftermath of the impact between the two JOTA cars and Antonio Felix da Costa’s explanation of what happened. There’s plenty of behind-the-scenes footage from Porsche Penske too, as Andre Lotterer and Laurens Vanthoor analyse their stints back in the team hospitality area.

Finally, there’s celebratory tears of joy from the Toyota garage as the team secure a 1-2 result and in doing so, the 2023 Hypercar manufacturers’ title. Further down the pitlane, however, it was an enthralling last lap battle between United Autosports and Team WRT who swapped positions on the very last lap with the WEC Full Access team covering live reactions from inside the WRT garage... this is one episode fans won't want to miss!
